Releasing the Shackles of Food Addiction

A lot of things I haven’t spoken about because I realize I was ashamed and that shame made me silent.

For years, I took selfies that would only show my face. As a result, I conveniently turned a blind eye to what was going on below my shoulders. I kept my own food addictions hidden and would binge eat in secret.

Today I calculated my BMI for the first time in a long while. My BMI when I started this program was 37. That’s…potentially deadly. Today I am at 28.9 and I am so happy to not be in the ‘obese’ category anymore.

As I approach my 47th birthday, I am claiming a new lease on life. My goal right now is to see what 25% BMI looks like on me and when I crush that goal, I will reassess from that vantage point.

No, my goal is not a specific number on the scale. 😝 It’s always been more about feeling good in my own skin. ❤️

And yet, I keep motivated by posting accountability photos and sharing my results as I walk my talk.

As of today, I have successfully released 58 lbs. and 67 inches of unwanted fat and toxins from my body. ❤️

I no longer have to shop in the plus size section, where I had been shopping since I was 18 years old. I am unraveling things that have been weighing me down for nearly 30 years.

weight loss, weight wellness, lose weight, healthy eating, food addictions, nutritional cleansing, intermittent fasting, optimal nutrition, superfoods, antioxidants, gluten free, organic, whole foods, adaptogens

To say I’ve “lost weight” is an understatement. I feel better than I have in YEARS. The entire body of my life is shapeshifting – life just keeps getting better.

The other day someone told me that we quit our addictions in the order that they will kill us.

As I input my measurements and weight into my tracking system this morning I began to cry – because I realized that I probably saved my own life and prevented a lot of unnecessary pain and suffering. ❤️

I am so glad I finally had the courage to look deeper at my own relationship with food and face a part of myself that was holding me back from the health and happiness I deserve.

I am SO grateful I said YES when the opportunity for change presented itself. ❤️

If you are curious about how I did it, feel free to reach out. I would love to share. ❤️
